Styled Wedding Shoot - Be Our Guest

There is definitely a ton of anticipation building around the release of the live-action version of Beauty and the Beast. It's not hard to be apart of the hype. I include myself in the bubble of fans that are waiting for their childhood memories come to life on the big screen. Although it won't be exactly like the original animated feature (which as a fan I am mentally preparing for lol), it has still been fun to see Disney remake some of our nostalgic favorites.

It's no secret that I'm a huge Disney fan. So much so that it was almost like a match made in Heaven when I was asked to partake in a styled shoot based on the upcoming version of this classic tale. Although the shoot was unfortunately canceled, Clare from Clare Murray Photography was kind enough to take some shots of the work we and Lilly at The Starfish Cottage created for the shoot. 

So in the words of Lumiere, 'it is with deepest pride and greatest pleasure" that I welcome you to Be Our Guest as I proudly present the photos.

Following the advice of the enchanted objects, I asked about the grey stuff. This, of course, was their reply.

Our invitation suite not only gives the rich, story book feeling, but keeps an artful eye with our own depiction of Beast's Castle. A MAJOR shoutout is in order for Yasmin from Maison Francis Design Co. for translating and giving us the invitation text in French.

Because who could forget the ending to the prologue...

Five Year Anniversary - Just Us Session

As some of you know, Gus and I recently celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary as well as monumentally turning 30 (our birthdays are less than a month apart). Aside from our celebratory trip out to Vegas (in due time I'll be sharing more about our fun time there), Gus and I...well mainly I...really wanted to document this moment in our lives. As some of you might also remember, this past year was a big year for us as we also purchased our first home. So needless to say, I felt it was a big deal that we document where we are now.  

This is when the wonderful Stephanie Sonju of Sonju Photography and Juju Booth came into the picture (total pun intended). We have known Sonju for some time now and I have always admired her Day in the Life sessions. She just knows what moments are the rawest and most beautiful to capture. Needless to say, she was on the top of my list when it came to the idea of someone coming and documenting Gus and I. So on January 8th, I happily ran downstairs to begin our session and here are some of our favorite moments. 

Needless to say, Gus and I couldn't be more in love with our session and I would say everyone needs to do something like this. Whether it's just you, your spouse, kids, or pet; sometimes capturing those small moments really need to be documented.

Forever Munnelly - A Cooper Estate Wedding

This week marks the one year anniversary of this lovely couple's special day. ;)

Kevin and Jane were looking for Day of Items to match their gorgeous, rustic venue. Keeping this in mind, we decided to go a simple route with the designs for each piece. One thing that was made clear was the fun they wanted to have in theming their seating chart. Kevin and Jane are HUGE fans of a little show called Game of Thrones. They wanted each table to reflect each house from the show. We did our best in representing each one with their appropriate logo. :) They also were keen on gifting locally grown honey from Keez Beez to their guests so we created a special tag for them to add to their favor. Take a look below at some of the wonderful details captured from this Bride and Groom's big day. 

One more detail that the Bride and Groom wanted to have was a customized door sign for their family and guests who decided to stay with them for the weekend.

The Kundu Villa - A Villa Woodbine Wedding

I was referred to Pam by the fabulous Soco Alicea 2-3 months before her big day. As we chatted and discussed the details of her wedding, small moments of "you too?" chimed often. It turned out she was using gorgeous, gold elephants as place holders for her escort cards; just as I had when I got married. ;) 

Pam wanted a design that would incorporate a natural, modern style dressed in a blush color. She was also looking to do something a little out of the ordinary too. We were, of course, happy to oblige...
